When workers organize together to achieve our goals, we are unstoppable. The bosses know this, and so they fight tooth and nail with every dirty trick available to them to squash unionization attempts wherever they sprout.
One of our goals with this project is to provide resources, materials and support for any worker looking to build power on their job. We are radical unionists, so we believe organizing is the best tool we have to win.
What is a Union?
A union is not as complicated as people make it out to be. It is a federally protected body of workers bargaining for improvements on the job, but there is a more basic and true definition we use:
A union is when 2 or more workers organize together to build power on the job.
That’s it.
If you are sick of being mistreated, exploited, harassed, disrespected, ignored, misgendered, underestimated, then organize with your fellow workers and fight back.
What is Organizing?
Organizing just means going through the process of building worker power. Worker power is worker control. Worker power is the counteractive force that tips the balance away from the bosses and towards us, the people who actually do the work and create value for society.
The Industrial Workers of the World have an extensive training, freely available to any worker, that teaches the ins and outs of organizing safely and successfully.
